MEDITATION

FINDING GOD/GREAT SPIRIT 

Prayer is talking to God/Great Spirit. Meditation is listening to God/Great Spirit. Both are important for manifesting what you want and building your relationship with God.

This is a VIBRATIONAL UNIVERSE. Meditation alters your consciousness (refer below to Brain Waves) and increases your vibration. Align and identify with the highest frequencies so you can detach from the lower.

 

"Originally, we had spiritual senses that can perceive God directly. These
spiritual senses have now been covered by the material energies. Therefore our perceptions are now material. There are processes for removing the covering energies. In our current state, the covered senses are like a mirror covered with dust. Although the mirror is capable of reflecting clear images, it cannot because of the dust. But when the dust is removed, the mirror properly reflects images. Our material consciousness is like that. Pure consciousness, and pure sense perception are there. But they have
been covered with the "dust" of the material energy. So there are processes given in the Vedic literature, and in other world religions, for removing the dust. One of these processes is meditation (contemplation)." ~Michael Cremo

Lighten up with meditation. Make it a daily HABIT to find the center of Peace Within YOU!  TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! 

Detach from the DRAMA.  Remember to shift your attention often during the day...from the externals to the Light of your calm Inner Spirit. 

Learn to commune at all times with Great Spirit and your inner teachers, angels and guides for encouragement, assistance, and guidance. Ask that you receive guidance through your dreams. Keep a journal.

Increase your belief in a positive outcome. As long as you ask, Spirit is giving you all the time that you need to become enLightened. Increase compassion, creativity, synchronicity, clarity, celebration, gratitude, and multidimensionality.  

Strengthen your energy circuits... through regular exercise, i.e., yoga, Tai Chi, Chi Gong, etc.  Spend time in nature. Avoid TV and computer games -- the numbing of the intellectual mind and spirit.  Meditate on sacred geometry like the Crop Circles (Crop Circle Cards). Read -especially read inspirational material. 

Provide Contribution/Service to your community. Volunteer to help the needy and worthwhile causes. Be aware of what is in your food, water, and air. Re-cycle.

Some of the valuable ideas from Florence Scovel Shinn's book, The Game of Life

1. What you give out you receive. Give out love and understanding
and they will be returned to you. Give out negativity and that will
be returned to you. Thoughts, words, and deeds return to you sooner
or later. You have the power to choose what you give out.

2. Follow your intuition to go somewhere or call someone even
though your logical mind tells you the action isn't logical. One
woman with only cab fare followed an intuition to return home to
family in another city and soon came into thousands of dollars.

3. Impress your subconscious mind over and over again with
images of good. Choose to impress good health, wealth, love and
self-acceptance.

4. Act and believe as though you have already received what
you need and want. If you want a long term relationship, make space
in your closet for your partner's clothes. If you need money, imagine
it already being in your checking account. If you want health, imagine
yourself strong and healthy.

5. Unforgiveness is the most prevalent cause of disease. If you have
an illness, who do you need to forgive? It might be yourself, it might
be others. Be honest with yourself and be willing to forgive.

6. Follow the Law of Nonresistance. Bless every situation and person
in your life, even the ones you don't like. If there is a situation in your
life you don't want, bless it and say your word for a positive outcome.
Bless the past and future, and learn to live fully in the now.

7. Ask for what is yours by Divine Right. So instead of affirming for a
specific person to fall in love with you, affirm that you have a wonderful,
loving relationship with a partner who is perfect for you. The person you
think is right might not be. If you are looking for a new job, know that
the perfect one for you is available at exactly the right time.

8. Let go of fear. Trust the Divine Intelligence of the universe to guide
you. Trust that all is unfolding in perfect right order.

Science of Meditation

Let the thoughts come.
Let the thoughts go.
Watch the space behind the eyes.
And watch the Watcher of the space.

Tune into your breath. Anyone can learn to meditate. Saying the Mantra above helps. There are a number of helpful Mantras. Meditation is your time to connect with the other side - Great Spirit and Spirit. It can be a rewarding, informative, and an enlightening experience.

People meditate to balance their energies, to gain information, to connect with God/Great Spirit and a deceased loved one or Spirit guide, to move through time, to heal issues, to do light work, and to release the negative emotions of fear, anger, and rage.

Meditation does not have to be done in any particular position - sitting - standing -reclining for any given amount of time on any particular day, time or place.

"I ask that God's Love surrounds me. I AM Divine. I AM shielded by a golden pillar of Love Light. I AM Love, I AM Harmony, I AM Joy."

Other than shielding your energy fields (saying a prayer, like the one above, and expelling all but the highest of energies around you), there should be no set rules for meditation unless you are in a group situation. Group meditations can be very powerful as there is power in group energies.

Some people learn to meditate the first time they try - especially if they know how to listen to Spirit - the 'little voice in their head'.

Others develop meditations skills with time and practice.


MEDITATION TECHNIQUES

There should be no time parameters on your meditations.

Some days you may meditate for just a few minutes - while other times you may mediate longer.

You may want to meditate on a specific subject - or just see what information you receive in general from Spirit.

A tape recorder can be use to play music or to tape messages during meditation.

To meditate, find a quiet spot and sit in any pose that is comfortable. Meditation is a process whereby we withdraw our attention from the outer world and concentrate it at the seat of the soul. We should close our eyes gently and look straight ahead, focusing our attention in the middle of the darkness lying in front of us. That which sees the darkness is not our physical eyes, but is the third or single eye located between and behind the eyebrows. Continue to gaze into the middle of whatever lies in front, and repeat silently and mentally any name of God. This repetition will keep the mind occupied and prevent it from wandering. With time we will experience the Light of God. When Light or inner vistas appear, keep the attention focused. As we meditate, we will begin to experience the reservoir of peace within, and we will be able to spread this peace to others.

Messages From The Meditative State

Listen to your Breath.  Messages received in meditation can be personal or collective. Spirit communicates in many ways.

The message can be in color or in black and white.

Colors seen in meditation also have significance.

Many people experience specific Archetypes and symbols that relate to messages. For example the letter "Y" can mean a balancing of the right and left brain. It may also mean "reaching a crossroads" in a situation.

The symbols must be understood to properly interpret the messages received. This is not much different than dream interpretation.

It takes time and practice to focus on what you perceive - then to remember the details of the experience - then to properly interpret them.

Keep a dated journal of the messages you receive through your DREAMS.

What you don't understand today you might understand at a future time.

There are many symbols you may see over and over again without understand what they are about. Then one day you may be reading a book and Bingo!! Things click into place!

THE SENSES

Messages can be experienced by any of the five senses or the intuitive (instinctive) area of the mind.

Messages can be in the form of picture images (clairvoyance). Visual - Messages are usually given in symbolic form. A baby may represent something new or the birth of a child. Sometimes the images can be animated.

They can also be clairaudience 'thought forms'.  Auditory - you hear thoughts in your mind or external sounds.

You have a knowingness or clairsensience.  Smell- you physically smell something in the room - usually a floral fragrance.

Touch - you feel Spirit touch you and - the sense of a tickle on your face or arm

Taste - in your mouth you 'taste' something linked to that Spirit - such as food linked to the spirit


THE CHAKRAS

During meditation you can feel your chakra system activated. Connecting with Spirit and as the message comes through it usually affects the opening of one or more of you Chakras 

The chakra affected depends on the nature of the message involved.

When Spirit comes to you - you may a feel a pressure on top of you head - or Crown Chakra.

At this time the Third Eye Chakra - Pineal gland - opens and looks up!

If the message is linked to your Soul - which connects through your heart chakra- you may feel a pressure in the chest area. This would also occur with messages linked to your heart / emotional love relationship.

Also, if the message is about the emotional heart it could cause a 'pressure' in the area of the heart chakra.

Brain Activity During Meditation

The brain is an the brain is an electrochemical organ - using EM energies to function.

Electrical activity emanating from the brain is displayed in the form of brainwaves.

There are four categories of these brainwaves. They range from the high amplitude, low frequency delta to the low amplitude, high frequency beta. Men, women and children of all ages experience the same characteristic brainwaves. They are consistent across cultures and country boundaries.

During meditation brain waves alter.

BETA - 13-30 cycles per second - awaking awareness, extroversion, concentration, logical thinking - active conversation. A debater would be in high beta. A person making a speech, or a teacher, or a talk show host would all be in beta when they are engaged in their work.

ALPHA - 7-13 cycles per second - relaxation times, non-arousal, meditation, hypnosis

THETA - 4-7 cycles per second - day dreaming, dreaming, creativity, meditation, paranormal phenomena, out of body experiences, ESP, shamanic journeys.

A person who is driving on a freeway, and discovers that they can't recall the last five miles, is often in a theta state - induced by the process of freeway driving. This can also occur in the shower or tub or even while shaving or brushing your hair. It is a state where tasks become so automatic that you can mentally disengage from them. The ideation that can take place during the theta state is often free flow and occurs without censorship or guilt. It is typically a very positive mental state.

DELTA - 1.5-4 or less cycles per second - deep dreamless sleep

GAMMA - approximately 26–100 Hz. Gamma rhythms appear to be involved in higher mental activity, including perception, problem solving, fear, and consciousness.  Recent studies have shown that recognition of new insights (higher level cognitive activities) occur when patterns jump from 20 to 40 Hz. Some researchers do not distinguish gamma waves as a distinct class but include them in beta brain waves.


PREPARING FOR MEDITATION

Find a place that is quiet and free of distractions.

Adjust the lighting and room temperature.

If you prefer the outdoors - then put yourself in an imaginary bubble where no one can disturb you. Just see the 'bubble' surround your body and no one will bother you.

Adjust your clothing for comfort. . .

Remove footwear and eyeglasses.

Sit down or lie down . . .

Find a position that is comfortable for you.

You are now ready to begin . . .

Close your eyes . . .

Take a deep slow breath - breathing in through your nose.

Hold the breath for several seconds as is comfortable for you . . .

Slowly . . . exhale . . . through your mouth. . .

Feel the toxins in your body release . . .

Take another . . . slow . . . deep . . . breath.

Quiet your mind . . .still your thoughts.

You are now ready to begin . . .

See golden light enter your body through your heart chakra. . .

Slowly it moves through ever pour of your body - awakening . . .filling you with light and unconditional love . . .

You are ready for a journey with Spirit into the light . . .

Relax and enjoy your journey . . .
