Database -
National Coordinator of Health Information Technology
Excerpt from Email from Donny Ferguson:
The "stimulus" bill gave Obama $20 billion to seize your
personal, confidential medical records and centralize them all
into a computerized federal database under the office of
the “National Coordinator of Health Information Technology.”
The good news, at the time, was that you could get out of it
by having a private health insurance plan whose doctors didn’t
participate in the Obama private information grab.
Well, now Gunowners of America reports bad news.
Barack Obama is working on stripping doctors of that basic
privacy right.
Under legislation rammed through both houses of Congress last
month, the federal government will bully Americans into
submitting their private information to the government, where
sensitive information, such as whether you own a gun, will be in
the hands of bureaucrats.
You see, the Obama scheme prohibits Americans from
having health insurance plans not approved by the government.
It’s all part of Obama’s plan to end private health
insurance plans and force everyone into government-run care.
Preliminary estimates peg the cost of an Obama-approved plan at
$10,000.00 a year, and you know they won’t approve any plan that
outperforms Obama’s own.
If you don’t have health insurance -- or Obama doesn’t
approve of your private health insurance plan -- you will be
forced to purchase acceptable insurance, insurance that also
requires the government to record your personal medical and
lifestyle information.
Of particular interest to those pushing the plan is
gun ownership, often gathered by pediatricians told to ask
unsuspecting kids whether Mommy or Daddy have a gun in the
home. They want to ban guns, and they want to know just who has
them.
That information, under the Obama plan, would be stored in a
federal database, along with all your personal medical
information.
